ABOUT ME
Izabela Victoria Raczkowski is a Connecticut native that graduated from the Pratt Institute in spring 2022 with a BFA in Fashion Design. Before her time at Pratt, she attended the London College of Fashion in the United Kingdom for a year to complete her foundation studies.
Artist Statement:
I have learned a variety of medium's throughout my education, from knitting and rug making to custom woodworking, I try to bring a sense of mixed media to all of my work. My favorite aspect of design is working with textile, because I believe this can push the design further.
As a lover of nature, and an avid hiker of national parks with my mother since I was 14 years old, sustainability is a very important part of my design process. I strive to create garments with as little waste as possible, as well as actively being responsible with my choice of fabrics and techniques in my designs. I believe sustainable design is the future of fashion, and will be minoring in sustainability in order to further my knowledge and continue to be a responsible designer much past my college career.
