Handmade Bags made from Antique Fabric Scraps

By Liv Handmade is a sustainable clothing brand based out of Brooklyn, NY, where Liv, the owner, hand makes all the garments using antique materials, such as kitchen linens, blankets, bedsheets, quilts, and other fabrics that may have been deemed unusable because of age.

As an intern at By Liv Handmade, I wanted to find something creative to do with the scraps that come from her projects; so we decided to create these one of a kind, handmade bags that are full of different materials, which can range anywhere from the 1880’s to the 1970’s.

All the bags were made responsibly, even with the addition of recycled leather pieces and vintage purse handles.
